Poster Session (A): 'Panther Mpower: Implementing a HIP compliant effective behavioral intervention in a university/college setting for High Impact HIV Prevention Among High Risk Young Minority Men who have Sex with Men (YMSM).'

Methods: This session will describe how Florida's most diverse university partnered with the state's only gay HIV agency to launch the Mpowerment (MP) intervention in Miami-Dade County. MP is an adaptable community-level-intervention, in order to increase HIV/AIDS and STI education and prevention, increase HIV testing, decrease sexual risk behavior, and provide a welcoming and safe environment for YMSM. The local project, Panther Mpower, is developed from a core group of volunteers who participate in small group discussions, outreach, events and a community campaign on campus.
Results and Conclusions will be presented.

Poster Session (B): 'Addressing Prevention Fatigue among MSM in San Francisco, CA.' Session B: Tuesday December 8, 12pm - 1:30m (Grand Hall)

Issue: "Prevention fatigue" is a significant challenge among MSM in their 30s and40s as many grew up with HIV as a constant worry. Consequently, limited engagement in prevention activities and a reticence toward communicating with partners about HIV are not uncommon.
Setting: Bridgemen was developed in SF for MSM aged 30-50. Events take place at service locations around the city.
Project: Bridgemen is an adaptation of Mpowerment, with four primary components: 1) service projects, 2) social events, 3) publicity and social norms campaigns, and 4) HIV/STI testing, education, and information.
Results and Lessons Learned will be presented.
